Dr. David Selby is a board-certified family medicine physician and qualified Aviation Medical Examiner serving pilots throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. As a Senior Flight Surgeon with the Civil Air Patrol and an active pilot himself, Dr. Selby brings unique expertise to aviation medicine.
Dr. Selby is the only physician in Oregon certified as both an Aviation Medical Examiner and Independent Medical Sponsor for HIMS (Human Intervention Motivation Study) pilots. This specialized certification allows him to monitor and support recovering pilots as they work to regain their medical certificates and return to flying.
Beyond his aviation medicine practice, Dr. Selby provides comprehensive family medicine and understands the importance of maintaining overall health for optimal flight performance. His pilot-to-pilot approach ensures your examination is thorough, fair, and conducted with genuine understanding of aviation demands.
